Don't Wait, Seek God

Seek the Lord while you can find Him. Call on Him while He is near. Let the wicked change their ways and banish the very thought of doing wrong. Let them turn to the Lord that He may have mercy on them. Yes, turn to Our God, for He will forgive generously. Isaiah 55:6-7 NLT

Sister, Sister, Sister

You know what time of year it is. It started last month and the month before that and the month before that.  Each year is the same thing- Holiday shopping and sales on top of sales. New items are highlighted as early as July preparing and conditioning people's minds to partake of the inevitable traditional Holiday spending. Millions of people spend money during that time no matter what's going on.  The early birds think they are really doing something because they purchased all their gadgets and gifts ahead of time. It's insane what we've turned Christmas and Thanksgiving into. We can throw New Year in there too. We plan so far ahead not to miss the purchase of an item or the whole Christmas experience. We forget about the Christ in Christmas.  We don't wait when we are warned about an item we love being sold out or discontinued.  Well, we are being warned about  the Lord Jesus Christ coming back to get those that belong to Him and some of us are waiting. Waiting as if salvation was going on sale with a buy one get one free tag on it. 

We can't wait on the redemption of our soul or growing closer in connection with Christ.  When the Lord comes back to gather those that prepared ahead, if you aren't ready.... That's It!!! There is no opportunity for restocking, like items we look to purchase for loved ones.  Now is the time to prepare while you have time. Don't delay living for Christ.  Seek the Lord while you can find Him.  Once the Lord raptures the church (the called out ones) the world will experience devastation like it's never seen before.  That's why my Sister, I urge you to put more emphasis on preparing for Jesus' Return than you do getting ready for the world's way of celebrating Christmas.  Sister, How can we so easily celebrate the Birth of the Savior of the world with gifts, candy, lights, trees, stockings etc. when many have yet to know Him.  Crowds celebrate and enjoy the festivities during this season but miss the one whom we are to honor. We know about Jesus but do we know Him. One day there won't be another opportunity to repent and believe in the death and resurrection of Our Lord. Stop just commemorating the baby Jesus in the manger, follow Him all the way to the Hill of Golgotha where he was crucified to His ascension in the midst of His Disciples by the sea. Jesus was born to die... not a meaningless death... but one that purchased the soul of all humanity. Those that believe and commit their ways to Him will inherit eternal life.  My Sister, don't just merely celebrate Christmas from the external. Celebrate the Christ that Christmas is all about from your heart. Turn to Jesus Christ. Don't end this year without making Jesus Lord of your life and not a character during this Christmas season.

Prayer Focus:

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You that You are so Gracious. Forgive me for not placing you first and getting so tied up in other things that I missed You. Help me not to delay but seek you with my entire heart. Please show me Your Way.

Application Exercise

Don't let another moment pass by without you examining your life. If you are born again, take a moment to analyze your life. Are you passionately seeking God's face? If not, please cry out to Jesus  and ask Him to restore your love and desire for Him.  Ask Him to reveal to you how to ive for Him wholeheartedly.
